Make the most of the sunshine

During daylight hours the house generates a lot of excess electricity — more than the house typically uses on its own. If it suits your plans, running things like the washing machine, dryer, or other higher-energy appliances during the day makes good use of that solar generation, rather than drawing from the grid later.

There's no need to change your routine around this — it's just a handy thing to know if you're deciding when to put a load on.
